The parking area and starting point of the Witting historic nature trail are located in the immediate vicinity of the Pietarus swimming area. The swimming area was originally formed at an old gravel extraction site where local residents used to swim. The Asemanseudun Kehittämisyhdistys has developed the Pietarus area into a versatile recreation site, which is further complemented by the nature trail. The area is also being developed in cooperation across municipal borders with neighbouring villages, Könni and Munakka in Ilmajoki. The swimming area includes a jetty and a sauna, and it is also possible to play beach volleyball or grill your own food.

Visitors should bring their own firewood for the sauna and grilling. The sauna is available for shared use for a small fee, and private bookings are not possible. “Sharing is caring.” The site also has a dry toilet and waste bins, and waste management for the area is properly arranged.

Camping is not allowed in this area.
